About Westside Tire & Brake

Located at 7530 Blountstown Hwy, Tallahassee, FL 32310, Westside Tire & Brake operates as a tire shop serving Tallahassee in Florida. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Tire shops sell and install new tires, patch punctures, balance wheels and, at most locations, align the suspension. Prices are quoted per tire plus mounting, balancing, valve stems and a state disposal fee for the old set; many shops price-match and include free rotation and flat repair for the life of the tire. Used tire shops sell inspected take-offs for a fraction of the price of new ones, useful for an older car or a single replacement, but check the tread depth (4/32 inch or more) and the DOT date code, since rubber ages even on the shelf. Mobile tire services come to your driveway or the roadside, commercial shops handle semi, trailer, farm and off-road tires, and wheel shops repair and refinish bent or curb-scraped rims.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. The most common schedule is 7:30 am–5 pm. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Westside Tire & Brake at (850) 576-1151; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, westsidetireandbrake.com.

Its Google rating is 3.9 out of 5 from 190 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Tallahassee is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Tallahassee follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We ran into issues with our U-Haul trailer having bad tires with bubbles in them while going through Tallahassee, and needed two tires replaced. Contacted U-Haul and they sent out Nemo with Westside Tire & Brakes. They got to us pretty quickly was a little bit of a wait due to traffic and some GPS issues. When she arrived she got to work quickly and realized there was another tire that needed to be replaced and wanted to make sure we were safe to get on the road so she got on the phone and facilitated getting that tire replaced as well. Mohammad then also came out to bring us another tire and get us on our way. She was kind, thorough, and efficient. We are so grateful to both Nemo, Mohammad, and their company for making sure we were set and safe on our trip home!!

Took a 110psi 14ply tire in for repair. I asked for a plug patch especially for this application due to pressure and weight of trailer. I told Mohammed twice that I need a plug patch not a plug or patch. He called to let me know that they didn't have the right plug patch so they patched it with an "Industrial" patch. I asked to see said patch and it was a standard 2.5" patch. Was a 14 ply tire and the hole is now covered by a thin patch and hole open for dirt and water to work under the patch. He asked how I would be paying... So I promptly paid up for the opportunity to spread the word. Go somewhere else where they understand tires. Now off to get the tire fixed right!

I went to Westside tires in January for an oil change and tire rotation prior to my trip to Southern Illinois for work. I am still in Southern Illinois and went for my 3-month oil change and was informed that I am missing two lug nuts. I contacted Westside tires and they refuse to accept any kind of responsibility for the missing lug nuts. I am very unhappy that I trusted them with my vehicle. I am grateful that I didn't lose a tire or worse but I am very unhappy with their service. This is not the first problem I have had there but it will be the last time I patronize the shop. Take your vehicle somewhere else, they don't stand behind their work.

This place has a mix of good and bad experiences. They seem very reliable for roadside emergencies, especially late at night. Several people mentioned fast response times and getting back on the road quickly. That kind of service is a big plus when you're stuck. The staff can be helpful and knowledgeable in urgent situations. However, there are some consistent issues reported. Some customers had problems with pricing not matching what was quoted. Others mentioned workmanship issues after repairs were done. Customer service can be hit or miss depending on who you deal with. Overall, it’s a solid option in an emergency, but be cautious and ask questions upfront.

While trucking I was stranded on the side of I-10 due to my leaf spring breaking and blowing out 2 of my trailer tires, these folks came to my rescue at 1:00Am, i called them they asked for my location, and came to me within 35 minutes. They replaced my broken leaf spring and tire and gave me diesel to continue my trip, for a really good price. I cant thank them enough for their good quality work and very fast services, i was so pleased with their work that anytime i need anything done on my vehicles and i am in that area i will definitely be going to them. I cant thank them enough for what they did for me. Anyone looking for emergency repairs or maintenance on their trucks and trailers i would visit their shop or call them! They are awesome people and very kind that will go out of their way to make sure you are good and back on the road.
